Killer day but in a good way.

I ate a HUGE number of calories today BUT I also seriously worked my butt off.

There was an early morning yoga workout, helping the Cita set up her classroom for 6 hours, and a pretty hard bike ride to the grocery store and back.

In the end I had about a 600 calorie deficit despite eating out (twice), lots of sugar, and not sticking to my healthy menu for today. I am quite literally collapsing into bed.

Wonderful day! I ate food that made me feel good, spent time at the temple (absolutely beautiful day!), and finished the day making bagels, eating dinner, doing dishes (not usually fun but for some reason it was today), and spending time with the fam before they take off tomorrow. Such a good day!

Spent the day doing laundry because I was fresh out of clean clothing, which is why it took the entire day to do all my laundry. Therefore, not really any exercise and not much of an appetite.

So that is pretty low, but I’m just getting back in the hang of things after almost 2 months of crazy finals and traveling. Things tend to fall apart a little around that time of year. I didn’t include what I ate but I can tell you, nearly 1300 of those calories were Panda Express.

I need to get back on the ball, create my menu, go grocery shopping, and then I won’t have an excuse to go buy fast food. So those are my goals for the rest of this week: Create a menu, get the food, and stick to it!

Today was a really good day. It was so productive! Which means that I finish the day in a state of happy exhaustion. Maybe I’ll post a little more about it tomorrow.

A bit high on the deficit today. This head cold has kind of ruined my appetite for the moment. I actually have been planning to workout more (today I was supposed to go swimming) but I’m simply not eating enough so I haven’t been. Rather than feeling discouraged I feel good. Perspective helps.

Can’t do this everyday though. My food consisted of yogurt, granola, and EmergenC this morning, a day of nausea (so no more eating) followed by extreme hunger and half a pepperoni pizza and a slice of lasagna.

Am I still nauseous? Yes.

Was it worth it for a random splurge on pizza? It is at the moment, we’ll see how I feel tomorrow.
